I’m a beach volleyball athlete who has been suffering from lower back injury for years and just managed to get back on the court recently. The recovery journey has been so tough, but the mindfulness sessions led by Jessie has comforted my pain a lot. Through listening to my soul, from scanning my body sensations to focusing on my breath to disconnect from my fixed mindset while reconnecting to my presence, and what I could and should do to move on. Big thanks to the patience and wisdom given by my beloved Jessie, which meant I could eventually step out of the darkness.

It was the third 8-week course I joined, and I continue to be inspired by the experience. The MBCT-L course was exceptionally experiential, providing a wealth of in-class practices centered around various themes and focuses. These exercises have deepened my sense of gratitude and resilience in ways I hadn't anticipated.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the half-day retreat; it truly turned out to be one of the best days of the year for me! <3

Participating in the "Mindfulness for Life" course with Jessie was a meaningful journey. Her kindness and acceptance created a welcoming space for self-reflection. Through her guidance, I learned to better connect with my present experiences. Techniques like the 50-50 Practice and 3-step Breathing Space became valuable tools for grounding myself. Jessie's compassionate facilitation not only introduced me to mindfulness skills but also nurtured a deeper appreciation for the present moment. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to participate in this course.

Completing both the MBCT-L and Deeper Mindfulness courses under Jessie’s guidance has been a truly transformative experience, and I am deeply grateful to her for opening the door to a mindful way of living.

While the formal practices were invaluable, it was Jessie’s soft, compassionate, and gentle approach that profoundly changed me. I used to be constantly in a rush, often feeling so restless that I wondered if I had undiagnosed ADHD. Jessie gently taught us the power of slowing down—reminding us to move through life with kindness and reassuring us that it is completely okay to simply feel whatever we are feeling, whether we like something or not without pushing them away. Her gentle presence and teachings have brought a sense of peace and self-acceptance into my daily life that I will carry with me always.

As helping professionals, we often pour so much of our attention into others. For me, learning MBCT-L and Deeper Mindfulness with Jessie was a wonderful opportunity to hit pause and bring that awareness back to myself. It allowed me to notice my habitual reactions and feeling tones, and to relearn how to replenish my own energy.

I also deeply cherish the time spent learning alongside everyone in the group. Hearing each person's sharing often brought fresh insights, helping me understand and reflect on myself from new perspectives.

In our daily work, we are the ones holding space for others—but this time, I allowed myself to feel the warmth of being supported and cared for.

I am truly grateful for Jessie’s heartfelt guidance, and thankful for the vulnerability and companionship of every fellow practitioner.

There is a time to heal others, and a time to be healed.

My main intention when starting the Deeper Mindfulness course was simply to nourish myself and learn about feeling tones. I really enjoyed the practices—the short version was so convenient, while the longer practice offered a clear, direct invitation to explore feeling tones in both mind and body. I personally love this kind of structured approach.

Many of the gentle prompts have already become an inner voice in my mind. Throughout our journey together, the beginner’s mind, curiosity, and warmth Jessie brought to the guidance left me feeling deeply nourished.
