In this course, you will learn to:
Find Your Ground: Explore various techniques to anchor your attention effectively.
Pause and Reflect: Take a moment when your mind wanders, fostering kindness and gratitude towards your thoughts rather than viewing them as adversaries.
Recognize Feeling Tone: Identify the feeling tone of your mind-body interactions, understanding how it influences reactions that may be self-defeating.
Allow Presence: Permit feeling tone to exist without immediate reaction, freeing your mind from habitual stress and exhaustion.
Manage Action Responses: Observe when your body prepares for action unnecessarily, allowing for wise action to emerge.
Embrace Difficult Emotions: Use mindfulness of feeling tone to approach challenging emotions and concerns with skill.
Cultivate Appreciation: Notice moments of gratitude in everyday life and address symptoms of exhaustion, such as procrastination.
Course Structure
The course consists of 8 weekly sessions, each lasting 2 hours with a break halfway through. Each session will begin with a short guided meditation, followed by a review of the previous week’s practice (except for the first session). After the break, the second half will introduce the weekly theme and include a meditation, providing space for discussion about experiences and insights gained.
What to Expect
Companions: Join a diverse group of participants who would like to deepen their practice of mindfulness.
Structured Sessions: Each of the 8 group sessions has its own theme and follows a consistent pattern.
Home Practice: Each session will include suggestions for personal practice, featuring recommended guided practices and ways to integrate mindfulness into daily life.
Support Materials: Access to guided practices and written resources will be provided to enhance your learning throughout the course.
